The session included with option one is only thirty minutes.
Can you really get all of our photos done in that period of time?

Yes! Sessions are high-energy and require very little "posing" time. We're moving around a lot, having a good time, and taking lots of photos. You'd be surprised how many wonderful photos come out of a thirty minute session. Sometimes sessions go over a few minutes, sometimes they go under. A lot of elements go into this, including weather, if I've shot in this location or not, if there are crying babies involved...that sort of stuff.

How do I book my session?

It's easy! Just contact me with your preferred date and time. I send you a confirmation form (in PDF format). You write a $100 check for your deposit, mail it to me with the confirmation form, and we're set! The balance -- in check form -- is due at or before our shoot.

How do we decide where to shoot our session?

It's totally your choice. You want to pick a location that fits your family and represents who you are. If you're having trouble choosing a location I'm happy to help, but I always encourage folks to check my blog archive to see what other families have done and what feels right to them. You usually get pulled in one direction or another.

What should we wear?

Do: wear vibrant, coordinating colors; clothes that you are comfortable in; styles that fit your personality
Don't: wear stuff with writing; beige; outfits that make the family look mismatched; white, if at all possible

Generally speaking, jewel tones looks wonderful and work really well in my editing process. Believe it or not, jeans photograph really well, too. Most important though is that you're comfortable. This is particularly true for young kids...the more comfortable they are the happier they will look!

Will you come to (insert city name here)?

Generally speaking, I will come to anywhere in the Kentuckiana region. Locations outside of this region carry a small fee based on how far I need to go. That being said, if you can round up between 3-10 friends (depending on the distance from Louisville), I'll go just about anywhere!

Your pricing seems a little high...why is that?

Unlike many photographers that offer similar services, my pricing is very straightforward. I put all of my pricing information on my web site so that there is no confusion on costs. All of my photography packages include a CD with all of your images. You can reprint them anytime, anywhere you'd like. I encourage you to shop around...very few photographers give you your images.

I do, however, also provide reprint and gallery canvas printing costs for those clients that prefer for me to facilitate the reprint ordering process.
