The portrait sessions that I provide aren't what you'd call "traditional." Instead, I take a photo-journalistic approach to capturing the warmth and beauty of your family. None of my photography is done in a studio; my sessions are held among the beauty of nature and grittiness of the city. It's a much more artistic and enjoyable experience than your typical studio family portraits.

Substance.

But, it's more than just taking beautiful photos. It's about capturing the true essence of who you are and what you're family is all about. Studio portraits capture us in our preplanned outfits and our best smiles, but they don't quite capture "who we are" like a typical Kate Hash photo session. I want you to look back at your photos and remember the expressions, movements and quirks that make childhood and family life so great.

My goal is to not only produce wonderful photos that you will cherish for a lifetime, but to also treat every single client with the same respect as I do my closest friends and family. Because, when it comes down to it, my clients are the people that allow me to pursue my passion for photography. Every single family that I photograph leaves a distinct impression on me and encourages me to get better at what I love to do.

I'm a young photographer based in the beautiful city of Louisville, Kentucky. I'm married to my wonderful husband, Rob, and we have an insane, yet loveable, dog named Winston. When I'm not working (yes, I have a day job!) or taking photographs (which I don't classify as work), I enjoy reading, taking walks through Cherokee Park and cooking.
